Atty. Edelyn “Edz” Rivas is a graduate of Juris Doctor from the Manila Law College. She is a bar passer of the 2025 Philippines Bar Examinations.
She obtained her undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Science, Major in Inland Fisheries from the University of the Philippines in the Visayas as a “Scholar ng Bayan” throughout her college years. After graduation from college, she went to Manila and worked in different companies including an Aquaculture Farm as a Fishery Technician; an Information Technology Company and a Real Estate Company involving Administrative and Secretarial work, before she finally decided to take up the course of Juris Doctor.
Atty. Edz never thought of becoming a lawyer until she was inspired by stories of people with ordinary backgrounds becoming lawyers, and seeing how their lives are transformed by the significant role they perform in society. She believes that a career in law is not just intellectually, ethically and morally challenging, financially rewarding and personally fulfilling, but most of all, it is an avenue and a medium to serve the nation and one’s countrymen as lawyers are primary players in upholding the rule of law and promoting justice.
