Atty. Berana is a graduate of Bachelor of Laws from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and a passer of the very first Digitalized 2020/21 Philippine Bar Examinations.
She obtained her undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Quezon City University as a scholar of the Quezon City Government. During her time in college, she was a student leader and the very first Editor-in-Chief of Monthly Quest, the official student publication of Quezon City University. In 2019, she was elected as the Presiding Officer of the very first Quezon City Youth Parliament, an organization made up of distinguished youth leaders and SK Officials created by the Quezon City Government.
While studying law, she was a full-time employee and has earned legal experience from various institutions. She was trained in the field of Intellectual Property for two years through her stint at Hechanova & Co., Inc., one of the leading IP firms in the country that specializes in the field of patent and trademark protection and prosecution.
Before passing the Bar, she worked as a Senior Compliance Officer from 2018 to 2020 and was later on promoted as Head of Compliance Department from 2020 to 2022 with Asiapro, one of the largest multi-purpose cooperative in the Philippines specializing in the field of contracting and manpower deployment that serves up to 300 multinational and local client-companies through work engagements in the agribusiness, construction, manufacturing, hotel and restaurant, engineering, education and training, sales and marketing, IT/technical, and services sectors in 9 regions across the Philippines. Her work primarily focused on Labor Law Compliance and Contract Review and Management, in-charge of administrative hearings with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) as well as with the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), and has an extensive training on Occupational Safety and Health as she is also a certified Safety Officer.
