Pursuant to the Labor Code and Presidential Decree No. 85 which require employers in private sector to pay their rank-and file employees their 13th month pay, the Department of Labor and Employment has released its recent advisory regarding the guidelines of the payment of 13th Month Pay.

Night shift differential are compensation given to employers who work between 10pm to 6am. According to the Labor Code, employees are granted 10% of regular wage each of work performed during the said hours.
This Republic Act, however, establishes specific guidelines for the computation of the night shift differential specifically promulgated for the government employees.
