Our Constitution is clear that Sovereignty resides in the people and all government authority emanates from them.
Since the Philippines is considered as Democratic and Republican State, one way that the population could exercise their sovereignty is through people’s vote in election.
The constitution implements this right through the section of Article V, particularly the Right of Suffrage.
As the election day is nearing, reminder to exercise that democracy in you because sovereignty resides within us, the citizens of our nation.
